How we Aspire to Provide Safe Execution of Projects

Each project undergoes stringent Risk Analysis that incorporates the expertise of Pilbara Constructions, sub-contractors and the client in a process known as Construction Risk Assessment Workshop (CRAW). Risk Analysis processes draw on a combination of project tools that include, timeline development, safe work procedures, architectural methodologies, and industry best practices. Pilbara Constructions assembles all the key learnings from the CRAW into project Safety Management Procedures (SMP) that must be adhered to for the life of the project. We continually track the effectiveness of the SMP through field leadership activities, pre-start discussions, management meetings, safety committee meetings, safety statistical information and toolbox meetings. Pilbara Constructions management plans clearly outline the process required to mobilise the workforce and maintain that standard through any staffing changes for the life of the project.

Here’s how it works

Pilbara Constructions HSE Management Plan, HR Management Plan and Procedures provide clear direction when enlisting any employee or contractor to a project regardless of when they join. Processes that must be adhered to include:

  • Field Leadership
  • Safety Inductions, Project Orientation and Employment Agreement
  • Medicals and Drug Screening
  • Verification of Competencies – Hard copy on file, electronic copy on server.
  • Additional Training as identified for the project through CRAW
